The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development establishes as one of its objectives to achieve quality education for all throughout life. Within this framework and in the midst of the III Improvement of the National Education System, the preparation of families is essential to achieve greater learning in the students of Primary Education. Learning to read and write is a condition of success for transit, not only through the educational system, but also for life. The objective of this article is proposing preparation workshops for families of students in Primary Education, to help improve their participation in their children´s literacy learning. The logic of the dialectical materialist method is assumed in this article and the historical - logical, analytical - synthetic methods and the inductive - deductive method and the empirical level were used: the interview, the survey and the documentary review. The main result is to determine the needs and potential of the families of students of Primary Education, for participation in the literacy learning process as well as the transformation of these after the participation workshops.
