Martí's ethics serves as a guide in the link established between the objectives of the primary pioneer organization and those of the structured model for said educational level, with Martí's text “The Golden Age” being a tool that the teacher must know in its axiological potentialities because its contents and work will provide ample possibilities for education in values to be more efficient, the objective of this work being to analyze the axiological potential of The Golden Age for education in values in Cuban primary schools. To develop the research we analyzed the use of the text The Golden Age, the teaching media system, the review of the bibliography, as well as other ways for theoretical-methodological preparation. The general Dialectical Materialist method was applied with a qualitative approach, the theoretical method: historical, logical and systemic, determining the regularities of the teaching-learning process of The Golden Age. A system of empirical methods based on observation, study of documents, surveys, interviews, among others. The results show that axiology is insufficiently addressed from the social-historical way of reasoning and its associated definitions. Martí's ethics are a guide when it comes to education in values and The Golden Age acquires special significance as a forging of values modeled by the fire of sensitivity, so the teacher finds in The Golden Age a rich e irreplaceable axiological source for education in values.
