Abstract

The 2030 Agenda contains the Sustainable Development Goals, based on social inclusion, valid in times of political conflict, pandemic and economic crisis. In accordance with this, Cuba's results, in terms of attention to diversity, are an international benchmark. Despite the geographical and cultural distance, in Mali, similar visions are shared in the care of children and women, however, the results in practice are not as expected. In the search for a joint work between the University of Letters and Human Sciences of Bamako and the University of Pinar del Río, an exploratory, qualitative study was carried out based on theoretical and empirical methods. As a result, the main challenges faced by the Department of Psychology in Mali for attention to diversity are characterized, with an emphasis on people with disabilities and women. The need to develop a philosophy of peace, resilience to conflicts and the preparation of families that, given cultural conceptions, prevent access and development of people, with a greater incidence of disability and the female gender, is identified. Lines of work between the universities are also defined, which enable actions for the internationalization strategy of both universities.
