En la formación integral que brindan las instituciones educacionales, se hace imprescindible proveer a los estudiantes a través de propuestas educativas, de una serie de aprendizajes que les permitan actuar constructivamente y poder enfrentar con éxito situaciones de la cotidianeidad. Además de enseñarle a los jóvenes universitarios los conocimientos de las disciplinas de los currículos escolares, es necesario promover el enfrentamiento con éxito de las exigencias, demandas y desafíos de la vida diaria: la autoestima, la asertividad, la toma oportuna de decisiones, el pensamiento creativo, crítico y reflexivo, el manejo de emociones y sentimientos, la comunicación efectiva y la autonomía moral y el respeto al otro. Con frecuencia, fruto de la educación tradicionalista, es asumida la idea de que en el nivel superior de educación basta con propiciar a los futuros profesionales de las diferentes ramas, los contenidos y técnicas esenciales para poder desarrollar con éxito la profesión seleccionada; es por eso, que en muchas ocasiones, se pasa por alto brindar la atención requerida a temas tan importantes como el de las relaciones que se establecen entre los sujetos, las interacciones que tienen lugar en los grupos y lo factible de una buena comunicación.
Abstract:
Education institutions are entitled to provide students with educational proposals, and learnings which would enable them to act constructively and face everyday situations successfully. Besides providing university students with the knowledge of the disciplines of the curricula it is also necessary to promote facing the demands, challenges of everyday life seen by self-esteem, creative, critical and reflexive thinking, appropriate decision making, the managing of feelings and emotions, effective communication, moral autonomy, and respect for others. Frequently, out of traditional education it is believed that in higher education provided students are supplied with the essential contents and techniques of their specialty, it is enough for them to develop successfully their profession. That is why attention to such important themes such as relationship among subjects, interactions taking place within classes and the importance of a proper communication must be favored.
