Investigations of outstanding educators of the 20th century in Havana from doctoral theses

The present work deals with the systematization of ten doctoral theses whose central theme is the investigation of outstanding educators of the Cuban 20th century and the objective: To base an organizational and methodological conception for the investigation of outstanding educators of the 20th century in Havana from the systematization of the contributions socialized in doctoral theses. In the systematized theses, the methods used in each one of them, the contributions of the figures object of the investigations, the manifestations of the contributions to the education of our country were studied. Among the methods used are theoretical: Historical/logical, life history, analytical-synthetic, systematization, comparison, content analysis; among the empirical ones: documentary analysis, interviews, testimonies. The results obtained reflect advances in this type of research, but it is still necessary to continue preparing our professionals in the scientific approach to the historical research of outstanding educators.
